YouTube stars Jay Swingler and Cherdleys will headline an exciting evening of crossover boxing as Misfits Boxing returns on DAZN tonight.
The Brit is one half of daredevil duo TGFbro, and hasn’t stepped in the ring since his 2018 loss to AnEsonGib, which has been branded one of the great YouTube boxing fights of all time. He has taken to training much more seriously in the past year as he attempts to get back to the major names in the space.
The second fight card of the MF & DAZN: X Series features Jay Swingler vs. Cherdleys. The bout between the two internet celebrities takes place inside Utilita Arena in England on October 15.
In a collaboration between KSI and DAZN, the MF & DAZN: X Series showcases the biggest global names in entertainment, sports, and lifestyle competing against one another.
Swingler started producing videos on YouTube when he was 12, and he currently has over 1.77 million subscribers. In 2018, Swingler lost to AEsonGib in an exhibition boxing fight.
Cherdleys has 2.04 million YouTube subscribers and started his content career in 2015. This will be his first time stepping into a boxing ring.
Meanwhile, American comedian Cherdleys has
reportedly got a lengthy fighting background, which he has been shrouding in absurdist humour throughout the fight build-up.
There appears to be a great deal of respect between Swingler and Cherdleys, which is a welcome change from the usual YouTube boxing bravado.
2012 amateur and pro career against Savannah Marshall. That fight was before either of them were household names in boxing. Now, it all comes full circle, as the two rivals face off on October 15 to determine the undisputed middleweight champion.
Inside the O2 Arena, Shields has a chance to become a two-time undisputed champion at middleweight. The WBA, WBC, IBF, WBF and The Ring middleweight champion looks to reclaim the WBO title held by Marshall. Marshall won the belt in 2020 against Hannah Rankin, a former opponent-now-friend of Shields.

With the “G.W.O.A.T.” (Greatest Woman Of All Time) nickname, Shields exudes confidence. A three-division champion, Shields can talk the talk and walk the walk. That’s why Shields believes she is one of the best boxers today.
Savannah Marshall? Shields believes she shouldn’t consider herself in the same league as herself and a few others in the sport.
“I don’t know if I dislike (Marshall) more, or was it Christina Hammer? I don’t know. I know both of them are just idiots. Savannah Marshall, she says some of the dumbest things. … She said if she walked around calling herself the G.W.O.A.T. that her friends would slap her. As they should. … You have one belt,” Shields said during a media workout in Florida.
