Carlos Corberan is delighted with the work the Terriers have done on their squad this summer but refused to rule out more ins and outs for Huddersfield Town before the end of the transfer window.
Asked first if he was happy with the work the Terriers have already done, he said “one of the conclusions we reached after last year
was that we needed players with more experience and to try to cover very well all of the positions over the pitch, and I think as a club we have.
“It was also clear we needed one goalkeeper and with Lee Nicholls we have this. It was also clear with Stearman and Schindler and the players that were leaving the club we needed a centre-back and with Matty Pearson we have, and we have cover for his position too.
“On the right side when Pipa had a problem and with Demeaco (Duhaney) leaving the club it was necessary to cover this position and with Turton we did,
and we also thought we needed to find the right left-back to keep a good level when we lost Toffolo in the last part of the year, and Ruffels is amazing, a very good player to come in and support.
“With injuries to Danny Ward last year we only had Campbell and later Sanogo as a striker so we did the deal with Rhodes. So for me, as a club, I have received what Leigh Bromby and his team promised – the right options, and fast!”

When asked if he would still be a Huddersfield Town player at the end of the window Corberan was clear that he wanted him to stay, “I want that, I think that O’Brien represents the values of this club very well, he’s been an important player.
“He is an example of what we want to create from our academy, a young player playing with this club and growing in the team, growing in the club, then they arrive as an important player in the first team and he is the best example we have.
