Hello and welcome to our live blog of Sheffield Wednesday’s pre-season friendly against Harrogate Town. It is the Owls’ second warm-up fixture, with Darren Moore’s side having been held to a goalless draw at non league side Alfreton Town last weekend.

Six hundred Wednesdayites will head to the EnviroVent Stadium to watch Wednesday in action as the League One continue their preparations for the new season. Tickets for the friendly sold-out on Tuesday.

Moore has overhauled his first team squad over the summer, signing seven new players since the transfer window reopened on June 10. New recruits Akin Famewo and Reece James are set to make their Owls bows, having arrived from Norwich City and Blackpool respectively.

Goalkeeper David Stockdale is also in line to get some valuable game time, having not featured at Alfreton. The evergreen shot-stopper was granted an extended break after helping Wycombe Wanderers reach the League One play-off final last term.

Reece James is poised to feature in Sheffield Wednesday’s pre-season friendly against Harrogate Town tonight. The left-back has joined the Owls on a season-long loan from Blackpool.

James has previously worked with Wednesday manager Darren Moore at Doncaster Rovers. The 28-year-old spent two years at the Keepmoat Stadium, making 80 appearances to put a largely chequered injury past behind him.
