Floyd Mayweather makes his long awaited return to the boxing ring this weekend, facing off against the undefeated Don Moore in an exhibition showcase on the helipad of Dubai’s Burj Al Arab Hotel.

In what should be a spectacular showing in one of the most stunning locations in the world, just 20 spectators will watch the fight unfold, each having spent in the region of £150,000 on tickets that were only available as NFTs.

Since retiring in 2017 after beating Connor McGregor, the 45-year-old has since fought in two exhibition fights, beating Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa,

then taking on controversial YouTube star, Logan Paul, which surprisingly went the full distance. In a bout billed as ‘Bragging Rights’, the fight reportedly sold more than one million pay-per-view buys.

His opponent this weekend also holds an undefeated record, with Moore 18-0-1 during his professional career, but his last fight came six years ago. And the pair will know each other pretty well, as the pair began sparring together in 2012, while Moore has in the past been coached by Mayweather’s uncle Roger.

Those in attendance will be treated to four fights on the night, with former UFC star Anderson Silva in action against Bruno Machado in another exhibition fight. The 47-year-old had an

impressive 23-year career inside the octogen, with the Brazilian switching to boxing last year, beating Julio Chavez Jr via split decision and then knocking out Tito Ortiz inside one round in September las

Badou Jack, a former world champion at super-middleweight and light-heavyweight with a 25-3-3 record, will take Hany Atiyo, an Egyptian fighter with four defeats in his 19 professional bouts. Whilst the Swede beat Samuel Crossed in November last year, Atiyo has fought once in the last six years, which could give Jack a slight advantage.

Delfine Persoon, who twice lost to current WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO, and The Ring female lightweight champions Katie Taylor, with many believing the Belgian was unlucky not to win their 2019 bout, faces Elhem Mekhaled,

whohas held the Eurioean female super- featherweight title since 2018 and also held the WBC interim female super-featherweight title back in 2019.

Michael Zerafa’s comeback is set to be supercharged, with the 30-year-old in line to take on Mexican star Jaime Munguia.

Zerafa’s camp held talks with the Munguia’s camp on Thursday and if the Melbourne middleweight had it his way, he “would be on the first flight out”.

But with a number of moving parts, that fight, which is expected to be held overseas, is not likely to be anytime soon.
