Despite their heavy defeat, Moors remain in the play-off places on goal difference.

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said: “Obviously very please, Solihull are a good side and we saw in the early exchanges how they’ve got the ability to keep the ball and they can be dangerous.

“We were a bit rusty I felt in the first 25 minutes, the final ball was overhit or not quite right; we’ve got quite a few players who haven’t played for a while but we grew into the game.

“Some of the pressing in the second half was top class and obviously the ruthless edge in front of goal was excellent.”
